Lake Como is a dreamlike place, a unique gem in the heart of Italy, full of wedding venues; Here in lake Como, you will find the best venues and the most beautiful. But do you know all of them? Let’s start with the most iconic ones.  Here below you will find our personal favourites. And we will explain their strenghts but also their weaknesses to you.

Villa del Balbianello – Best venues Lake Como

With its iconic gardens and trees Villa del Balbianello is a dream place for every wedding ceremony, proposal or couple shooting. Here, you will find a really big park which is located right by the lake and on a hill. Keep that in mind if you plan to arrive on foot! If you want to see all of the park and take photos all over the place, it may take a while. We would therefore highly recommend to take your time and not to rush, if you want to enjoy the place. From our point of you, Villa del Balbianello is the perfect place for your ceremony or proposal. It is also possible to have dinner there and to welcome your guests either outside or inside the villa. The downside of this place is that there is no accommodation. you can’t do the getting ready there or stay overnight after the celebrations.

Villa Erba can host up to 450 guests and is therefore ideal for weddings or other private events. The villa has a huge park that can be rented entirely or partially. Furthermore, the villa has plenty of rooms so that you can plan your getting ready and a sleep over there.

Villa La Cassinella

Villa la Cassinella is a tiny gem on the west side of Lake Como. It is impossible to reach this villa by land. You will have to take a private boat which makes your arrival at the villa even more special. Villa La Cassinella is perfect for an intimate and private wedding ceremony or proposal. You can host up to 50 guests and the villa also offers accommodation. So here you can do your getting ready and stay overnight too. It’s perfect for having a relaxed time with your guests or your partner.

Giardini di Villa Melzi – Best venues Lake Como

As the name already suggests: This villa has a fascinating garden that is situated along the lakeside. The gardens of Villa Melzi are a stunning place for a wedding ceremony or a couple shooting. One of the downsides: Here too, we don’t have any accommodation and therefore no possibility for doing the getting ready or a sleep over on site.

Villa Pizzo

Villa Pizzo is perfect for weddings and private events. The gardens of this villa are located on different levels which offers really nice and different angles for taking photos of you. The villa offers accommodation so you can sleep in the beautiful rooms inside or do your getting ready on site.
